Install the plugin:
ruby script/plugin install http://svn.pluginaweek.org/trunk/plugins/radiant/maintenance_mode/

Description
===============

This plugin makes it easier to perform maintenance on your Radiant website. When enabled, a built-in or customized splash screen is displayed to all visitors who are not logged into the administrative website. This allows administrative users to continue to access parts of the website and ensure everything is working properly, while at the same time disabling it for all other visitors.

Usage
========

Enabling maintenance mode
------------------------------------

To enable maintenance mode, you can click on the "Maintenance" tab in the administrative area and update the mode to enabled. When maintenance is complete, simply go to the same page and set the mode to disabled.

Customizing maintenance page
----------------------------------------

To customize the maintenance page that is displayed when maintenance mode is turned on, add a new page under the homepage and set the page type to "MaintenanceModePage". So long as this page is *published*, it will be used whenever maintenance mode has been turned on.
