Install the Gem: 
gem install git-notifier

1) Start the notifier:
git-notifier start

2) Stop the notifier:
git-notifier stop

3) Add a repository to the watch list:
git-notifier add

Example:
git-notifier add git@github.com:marcocampana/git-notifier.git master
